Our Mission
Rich Delgado founded BMD Scientific, LLC in 2008, with the singular goal of providing top tier, specialized recruiting services to the Pharmaceutical and Biotechnology industry.
Rich started his recruiting career at a regional scientific recruiting firm in 2000. He placed scientists in all disciplines and industries (Pharmaceutical, Biotechnology, Foods, Environmental, Chemicals, etc). The focus was geographical. In 2003 Rich was recruited to start the scientific recruiting division for CarterMackay (until then, they were a sales force recruiting firm). He selected Formulation and Process Development to be the initial area of specialization. While there, he received the president’s club award in 2004, 2005, 2006, 2007 and 2008. Rich grew the department to cover multiple scientific specializations including Formulation/Process Development, Analytical Development, Drug Metabolism/Pharmacokinetics and Regulatory Affairs/Quality Assurance.
In the fall of 2008, BMD Scientific, LLC was established. Rich still specializes in placing formulation, process and drug product development professionals. He handles positions up to and including the VP level. He resides in Dresher, PA with his wife and son.
